PRISCILLA GARCIA-FRANZONI

Priscilla Garcia-Franzoni, a curandera dedicated to food justice, resides in New Mexico. She works as a service member with The Commons: Center for Food Security and Sustainability. Since acting in her first film, La Catrina, Priscilla has attended medicinal herb field school.  She spent a decade creating and supporting community gardens and farmed organically for five years.  Garcia- Franzoni worked for La Semilla Food Center as a youth program assistant and a youth coordinator at the Anthony Youth Farm in Anthony, New Mexico.  She studies medicinal herbs and spiritual healing and teaches children the importance of connection with mother earth, nurturing our madre tierra, through gardening principles.
